Hades - Vertical Slice

In the second of year of school i was task with making a Vertical Slice of the game Hades in a team. The team consisted of 4 Game Devs and 4 Artist.

A vertical slice is a fully playable segment of a game that represents all the key features, mechanics, and art styles, giving a complete snapshot of the final product.

This was a fun challenge, recreating one of my favourite games. Looking back on this project is fun but also a bit stressful, it was more of a challenge than i expected it to be. We ran into a lot of bugs making the game, because of this we didn't end up implementing all the mechanics that we wanted to. But other than that it still was great learning experience for me, for example i now understand a bit more about how isometric games work and the difficulties of making one.

My contribution

I helped out in researching how an isometric camera works, coding the movement and the dash mechanic.
